Dare To Make It is a small workshop in Plymouth, Devon, near the city centre and Sutton Harbour side of town. Exact unit details are sent with confirmed bookings so walk-ins do not arrive during machine work, inductions or a sheet full of parts that cannot be interrupted.

What To Include In An Email

  • Your file, sketch or photo, plus any measurement that must be trusted.
  • Material, thickness, colour, quantity and whether you already have stock.
  • Your deadline and whether it is a real deadline or a hopeful one.
  • Whether you want them to make it, or you want to use the machine yourself after induction.
  • A phone number if timing is tight and a decision may be needed quickly.

Booking And Payment Notes

Jobs over £150 require a 50% deposit before materials are ordered or machine time is held. Laser cutting is normally 2 to 4 working days once the file is approved. FDM printing is usually 3 to 5 working days and resin is usually 5 to 7 working days. Minimum order is £12 for print work and 1 booked hour for machine hire.

Collection is from the Plymouth studio. Local delivery is £12 within 8 miles of PL4 and £22 within 20 miles. Courier is charged at cost for non-fragile pieces.

They will not make counterfeit badges, copyrighted character merchandise or trademarked items unless you can show permission. They will not run commercial batches from Thingiverse, Printables or similar files unless the licence clearly allows it. Overnight unattended printing is not offered unless you have approved the risk of print failure.
